Plus, it has been formulated with water ions to help keep your hair's moisture in check while mineral ions protect the hair from UV damage.
This compact model is also reportedly more lightweight than traditional, bulkier hairdryers, making it easier to handle and reducing the likelihood of suffering from the usual arm fatigue we've all experienced during styling. Additionally, Shark's lightweight Pro 3-in-1 SpeedStyle hairdryer is also discounted if you'd rather this brand. It is suitable for straight and wavy hair types and is now priced at £159.99, down from its original £179.99. Meanwhile, the GHD Helios, renowned for its swift wet hair drying capabilities, is currently available at a discounted price of £139, reduced from £179.
The Philips Hair Dryer 7000 Series has received some high praise on Amazon from shoppers, one of which said: "Made my hair feel so soft and best hair I have ever used on my hair I have very thick hair its dry its in 10 mins and it's light weight great value for money power great too. No smell of dry hot smell."
A second fan said: "You can't go wrong with Philips products. This hair dryer is no disappointment. It's great quality and very well made."
Another Philips shopper raved: "It dries my hair perfectly, and that's trying each setting. It's a powerful hairdryer but nice and quiet. It dries my hair quickly. Highly recommend." Meanwhile, someone else added: "Durability and functional ability of product is by far, in a league of its own. Fully dries hair with ease, but protects hair from overheating. Gorgeous, moisturised hair, instead of rough texture and gives super volume. Hair looks so healthy, fresh, nice clean shine after use."
While many comments were singing the hairdryer's praises, some were left less impressed. One person expressed dissatisfaction and said how the Philips device was: 'Noisy' and had a 'short wire'. They wrote: "As per my title. Very noisy to be so 'advanced' and the wire could have been a bit longer."
For those seeking a more silent option, the AirMotion hairdryer (£119) by Air Craft may be a good option as it boasts an advanced brushless DC motor said to be 'at least four times quieter than a typical hairdryer'.
Although for the most part, shoppers loved the results from the Philips hairdryer, with one person saying: "This is a nice dryer. It has typical Philips quality, which is a good thing. The controls are very easy to use and have a nice feel. There are four temperature modes with a cold button that works very quickly. There are two speeds only.
"The lower speed is not too noisy, but the high speed is quite loud but powerful. The two attachments are very easy to attach and detach. It is not the lightest, but it is substantially made, which explains it. £100 seems a reasonable price for what you get."
The Philips Hair Dryer 7000 Series is on sale at Amazon.
